A trip to Rochester A weekend with Family

On our way to Canandaigua Lake, beautiful New England farms
Can you have a good time with family for a weekend? My mother used to say, the number of people/bathrooms is the marker for household accord. She was often right. I think that in this case, we had plenty of bathrooms, time to catch up with family we don't often see, and fish (some of us). It was a recipe for success. Thus many pictures.

First things first--buy the bait. It was very nasty.

Eat snacks

Brothers must fish

Tucker must fish?

Adorable nieces Sarah, Kate and handsome nephew Ted could make covers of any magazine.

Riding and/or driving the golf cart to the lake becomes a sport in itself.

I promise this was not the only art in the house. Some rabbit with antlers? Don't think so but there it was.

John catches a huge pike which

had just eaten at least 3 smaller fish...Gross

This pike had completely swallowed the lure and had to have it pried out. Sad it had to sacrifice its life, but it sure tasted good.

This time John catches a small mouth bass-huge-which Tom had netted. This bass was thrown back to grow and torture the family for the rest of the summer by gracefully swimming around but not taking the bait.

boat rides and lunch

beautiful views even from a hot tub. And, no, I didn't go in it in case any one was wondering.

Quiet morning fishing

Games of Corn Holes.

And, a happy dog. Now really, how can a weekend get much better. Thanks Tom, Julie, Ted, Sarah, Kate and Tucker.
